Chevrolet Uses Chase Races To Raise Crucial Funds

Once again, Chevrolet is using the month of October and the postseason races to raise crucial funds for those in need. The pink pace car is officially back.

According to a press release, the pink Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will return for two Chase races this season. The first will be at Talladega Superspeedway as it leads the field to the green flag. It will then return for the penultimate race of the season, which takes place at Martinsville Speedway.

This pink Stingray is a common sight during the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It represents Chevrolet's longstanding partnership with the American Cancer Society and the support for the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" initiative.

This will continue in 2026 as Chevrolet raises money for the American Cancer Society in multiple ways. The first will be the return of the fundraising caution laps.

Chevrolet will donate $500 (up to $25,000) for every caution lap that the pink Stingray leads during the Chase races at Talladega Superspeedway and Martinsville Speedway. This could add up quickly considering that two of the last three Martinsville Cup Series races had 10 cautions.

The other fundraising method will focus on the drivers. The manufacturer will donate $1,500 (up to $25,000) for every Team Chevy driver who posts a top-10 finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Phoenix Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway, and Martinsville Speedway.

Last year, the campaign raised $1.7 million for the American Cancer Society. The NASCAR fundraising efforts specifically contributed $32,500 over the four races held in October 2025.

This stretch featured Chevrolet drivers combining to post 14 top-10 finishes for a total of $21,000. Two — William Byron and Shane van Gisbergen — won races.

"We are proud to continue standing alongside the American Cancer Society and everyone affected by breast cancer," said Alyssa Haba, senior manager, Motorsports Marketing and Activation for Chevrolet.

"Each October, our motorsports platform gives us a powerful opportunity to turn the visibility of NASCAR into meaningful support for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

"With the pink Corvette Stingray returning to the track and donations tied to five Cup Series races, this year's campaign creates more opportunities to make an impact and advance the fight against breast cancer."
