The NASCAR Hall of Famer will return to Nashville Fairgrounds for Saturday night's CARS Tour race. He will compete in the Late Model Stock Car division while driving the No. 8 Bass Pro Shops entry.

"It was emotional to make those laps yesterday," the 15-time Most Popular Driver wrote after a tire test in mid-March. "Like visiting an old friend and realizing they still were the same person you always admired.

"Cant wait to have our Pro and Late Model Stock cars there next month. We plan to be in town at Tootsies on Thursday evening to promote the tour and hopefully allow some folks to meet our drivers. It's gonna be a big weekend."

Earnhardt also provided some updates about the track after completing this Hoosier tire test. He noted that the track has some weepers and a large bump in Turn 2, but he said that it wasn't a concern.

Earnhardt should know all about the intricacies of this track. After all, he competed there dozens of times across multiple racing series.

This includes Late Model starts and three O'Reilly Auto Parts Series starts. He did not celebrate a win at Nashville Fairgrounds in NASCAR's secondary series, but he posted a top-three finish in 1998. He also led 37 combined laps at the track during his back-to-back championship seasons.

The Late Model Stock Car race featuring Earnhardt will take place on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET. FloRacing will provide coverage for the racing fans unable to attend in person at the track located in the heart of Nashville. The Pro Late Model division will set up the main event with a race at 7 p.m. ET.
