Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reacts to Passing of Greg Moore

The NASCAR world has lost some key figures and names over the last several months, and this week, another famous NASCAR name has left us. Greg Moore, the son of legendary NASCAR team owner and NASCAR Hall of Famer Bud Moore, passed away. Moore was 67 years old.

The South Carolinian had been dealing with several health issues in recent years, according to Andrew Holleran from The Spun. Like his dad Bud, Greg was a major part of NASCAR in his own right, as he served as team manager for his dad's race team.

Bud Moore Engineering featured plenty of NASCAR's biggest names when it raced from 1961 until 2001. That included 63 race wins and two Cup championships.

The drivers that spent time racing for Moore were Dale Earnhardt, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip and Ricky Rudd. So, Greg spent plenty of time working with some of NASCAR's greatest drivers.

The news of Greg's passing hit home for many in NASCAR. That includes Dale Earnhardt Jr., who was deeply saddened by the news.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. took to social media to share a tribute post for Greg that was originally posted by @nascarman_rr on X.

Greg was a major part of the NASCAR world for most of his life, and without him, his dad's team wouldn't have been as successful as it was. His knowledge as a mechanic was unmatched.

Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Greg Moore.

Rest in peace Greg, you're with your father now and your contributions to NASCAR won't be forgotten. The Moore name will live on forever in NASCAR lore.
