The couple made the announcement with a post on social media. They showed themselves on the Greek island of Santorini. Suarez faced the water, and he had his hand on Julia's stomach. He wore a "Dad" hat. Julia faced the camera. She clutched Suarez's arm while wearing a "Mom" hat.

"The best is on the way," Suarez wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

This pregnancy announcement is another big chapter in the lives of Suarez and Julia, who first met at the track in 2012. This reveal happens as they approach their second wedding anniversary.

The two tied the knot during a two-week break in the Cup Series schedule in 2024. They headed down to Brasilia, Brazil, and exchanged vows in a ceremony at Recanto das Aguas. Approximately 160 people attended this ceremony in Julia's hometown.

The group of attendees included Julia's father, three-time F1 champion Nelson Piquet, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's Danielle Trotta, and now-former NASCAR Commissioner Steve Phelps among many others.

Suarez and Julia did not immediately head out on their honeymoon after this 2024 ceremony. The actual honeymoon happened during the offseason as they explored Japan.

Instead, they spent the rest of the time in Brazil taking on a different event. Suarez competed in the NASCAR Brasil Series' Special Edition at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. He finished fourth in the first race after a penalty, first in the second race, and third in the final race.

"I'm very convinced that Julia loves racing, either more or the same (amount) that I do," Suarez told select media members in July 2024 while discussing the unique honeymoon plans. "I mean, she loves it so much. She's with me at all the races."
