Daniel Suarez Returns to NASCAR Mexico Series

For the first time since 2014, Daniel Suarez will be making his return to the NASCAR Mexico Series.

Trackhouse Racing announced that Quaker State has extended its sponsorship alliance with the team after being with the team in 2023. This means Quaker State will be the primary sponsor for Suarez for some races in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024: Richmond Raceway in March, Darlington Raceway in May and Atlanta Motor Speedway in September.

"We are extremely happy to announce an increased alliance with Trackhouse Racing in 2024 and the addition of the NASCAR Mexico Series race with Daniel," said Bree Sandlin, vice president of Shell Lubricants North America Marketing.

Before all the Cup Series races, though, Suarez will be in the NASCAR Mexico Series race on Feb. 4 at the Los Angeles Coliseum. NASCAR announced the Mexico Series race at the Los Angeles Coliseum back in September. This will be the first time the series takes place at the famed stadium.

"I never thought I would have the opportunity to race in the Mexico Series again," Suarez said in a statement. "There a ton of people who helped me in my career still involved in the series so it will be cool to go back and race with them. NASCAR's Mexico Series is a great place to learn and over time I think will start producing drivers who will come to America. I cannot thank Quaker State and NASCAR enough for making this opportunity possible."

Suarez began his stock car racing career in the NASCAR Mexico Series back in 2008. He accumulated 10 wins during his time in the series and finished second in the 2013 standings.

With the help of Quaker State, Suarez will make his long-waited return to the NASCAR Mexico Series in the one-off event at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Feb. 4.
