Armando Christian Pérez, known as Pitbull, will be giving a performance in front of a sold-out Daytona 500 crowd. Over 100,000 people will be attending the 66th running of "The Great American Race."

Pitbull is a very successful artist. He has won 46 awards during his career as a singer, songwriter and record producer.

The timing for this performance could not be any better. On Oct. 6, 2023, Pitbull released an album called "Trackhouse." This is all connected with Trackhouse Racing, the team Pitbull co-owns with Justin Marks.

Trackhouse Racing was founded by Justin Marks and the team debuted in 2021 with driver Daniel Suarez. Since then, the team has amassed 6 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series with three different drivers (Suarez, Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen). All three drivers have gotten their first Cup Series victories with Trackhouse Racing. Trackhouse also saw Chastain finish runner-up in the points standings in 2022.

Pitbull's Trackhouse album series will see a new release in February. It will be titled "Trackhouse: Daytona 500 Edition."

"It's an honor to once again be part of 'The Great American Race,' this time performing at the Daytona 500," Pitbull said. "So, everyone start your engines, get ready, and Dale!"

Pitbull will be joining Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a featured guest during pre-race festivities as Johnson is the grand marshal for the Daytona 500. NASCAR and Daytona International Raceway have yet to announce an honorary pace car driver and flag starter for "The Great American Race" on Feb. 18.

Before the Daytona 500, NASCAR heads to Los Angeles for Busch Light Clash with Machine Gun Kelly performing at halftime this Sunday Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. EST.
