He held off Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott on the final run to the checkered flag, and he captured his 61st Cup Series win. This win, Hamlin's second consecutive at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, broke his tie with 2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick.

It gave him sole possession of 10th place on the all-time wins list, and it put him only two wins away from tying former teammate Kyle Busch.

Elliott crossed the finish line in second place. The rest of the top 10 included William Byron, Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, Chris Buescher, Kyle Larson, Chase Briscoe, Bubba Wallace, and Brad Keselowski.

Hamlin has now won at least one race in 20 separate seasons. He joined Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon and Bobby Allison.

"My name stands out amongst — there's the legends of the sport," Hamlin said. "I feel very fortunate to be on the list. Those guys were far more talented than I have ever thought about being.

"I just work really hard. I still to this day work really hard at my craft to try to continue to get better. Days like today certainly make me feel happy about where I'm at in the sport still and what I can still do."

The expectation entering the weekend was that Las Vegas Motor Speedway would show which teams will truly be contenders this season. Hamlin and the No. 11 team answered the call. They showed that once again they will be battling for wins after leading the series with six trips to victory lane in 2025.

"These are the weeks we gotta stack them up," Hamlin told Fox Sports in victory lane. "We can still put ourselves in conversation in the regular season as long as we keep doing this and finishing first when we are supposed to."
