According to a Saturday announcement, this broadcast featuring mostly active Cup Series drivers will take place on Friday, March 20. The group of assorted drivers will call the action as teams take on Darlington Raceway.
The booth will feature Kevin Harvick, who last raced during the 2023 Cup Series season, on play-by-play. Team Penske's Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano will join him on the booth while taking on a familiar role. Both drivers regularly join the Fox Sports booth as analysts for Truck races.
The pit reporters will be drivers who have celebrated Daytona 500 wins. Team Penske's Austin Cindric and Hyak Motorsports' Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will roam pit road and the garage while getting updates about the biggest storylines.
This marks the second new track in as many seasons for the Drivers Only broadcast. Last season, the unique broadcast moved to the Craftsman Truck Series for Homestead-Miami Speedway. Harvick led the booth during that broadcast while working with analysts Brad Keselowski and Logano.
Cindric and Carson Hocevar served as the pit reporters for the first Drivers Only Truck Series broadcast. They put their respective personalities on display while interviewing young drivers about the track and all manner of other topics.
Cindric has become a bit of a star during the recent iterations of this broadcast, especially during the 2023 season. He helped Fox Sports fill time during a long rain delay at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The Team Penske driver asked drivers trivia questions about their respective careers, and he showed that he isn't the best at reading from cue cards. He also asked about cookies, footwear, and a variety of random topics.
One of the hardest-hitting portions of the interview featured him asking Hocevar a series of "this or that" questions. He learned that Hocevar prefers tacos over burritos, coffee over tea, and pancakes over waffles. Though he will make an exception for Eggo waffles.
Years later, this duo will roam pit road together while serving as pit reporters. They will just hope to avoid any inclement weather or prolonged delays.
