Frankie Muniz made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at the season-opening race at Daytona last month.
It wasn't his best performance, but he certainly gained plenty of experience behind the wheel.
NASCAR heads to Phoenix this week, which is Muniz's home track. The 38-year-old actor-turned-racer will be back behind the wheel of the No. 35 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Joey Gase Motorsports.
Before the start of the season, Muniz made certain that he would race at his home track, but when the initial entry list for Phoenix was released at the start of the week, it looked like Muniz wasn't going to be racing this weekend.
That all changed with Muniz making an announcement on social media on Tuesday. Muniz will carry sponsorship from The Hot Chick, a restaurant/arcade bar in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"Guess who's back? Back again/ The Hot Chick is back, tell a friend!" Muniz said via X. "Can't wait to get back in the @xfinityracing car this weekend at my hometown race at Phoenix Raceway in my Ford Mustang Dark Horse! @TheHotChickAz @FordPerformance."
Following the action on Saturday, Muniz will be hanging out at The Hot Chick Restaurant on Sunday, with his car on display as well, according to Joe Parker from MotorBiscuit.com.
Saturday's race won't be easy, as his spot for the race isn't guaranteed. There are 38 spots in the starting line-up in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and there are 39 cars on the entry list. Muniz will have to qualify on speed or rely on his race team's provisional to make the field.
Muniz will be out to better his 33rd-place finish from Daytona and there is a lot at play in Saturday's race. Muniz has a chance to show off at his home track. It won't be easy for the "Malcolm in the Middle" star, but he's enthusiastic about taking on the challenge.
