Frankie Muniz is set to miss this weekend's trip to Kansas Speedway as he continues to pursue a championship in a different motorsports series.

Muniz, the driver of the No. 33 Team Reaume Ford F-150, announced the news on Wednesday.
"After a great day in Los Angeles, on my way to Birmingham, Alabama to continue our fight to win the championship in (GT4 America) at Barber," Muniz posted on X.
"Sad to miss the truck race in Kansas, but thrilled to be in the hunt for the championship in our (Ford Racing) Mustang GT4 car!"
This marks the second time this season that he has missed a Craftsman Truck Series race due to a scheduling conflict. He also pulled out of Watkins Glen to compete at Sebring. Stephen Mallozzi replaced him in the No. 33 Ford F-150.
When Muniz missed the Watkins Glen race, he and teammate Tyler Stone had the No. 30 TechSport Racing Ford Mustang third in the AM class championship standings. He sat 22nd in the Craftsman Truck Series standings.
Muniz and Stone have since won back-to-back races at Road America in Wisconsin. They moved to second in the championship standings with four rounds remaining on the GT4 America schedule.
"This is unbelievable. I couldn't have asked for a better story," Muniz said after the wins at Road America, per Ford Racing. "The whole time after the checkered flag came out, I was literally crying in my helmet.
"I made the sacrifice to my family to go racing. To be an inspiration to my son—to get to do this, feel this and be an inspiration for him. This is why you do it. I'm so grateful to Ford Racing, TechSport Racing and my entire team. There is no other feeling like this on the planet."
The Pirelli GT4 America schedule will continue with trips to two more tracks. Next up will be Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, where the competitors will complete Rounds 10 and 11 of the season.
The final weekend will take place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Muniz and Stone will continue competing for a championship as they complete Rounds 12 and 13.
The two drivers and TechSport Racing are currently 14 points behind championship leader BimmerWorld, which fields a pair of BMW M4 race cars.
