According to the team, Todd Gilliland will return to the No. 34 for the 2027 Cup Series season. He will continue to work as a key part of the three-car lineup while pursuing his first Cup Series win.

Gilliland, 26, moved up to the Cup Series at the start of the 2022 season. He took over the No. 38 Ford Mustang and became a teammate to Michael McDowell. He remained in this role through the 2024 season while scoring 10 top-10 finishes and one top-five.

Once McDowell joined Spire Motorsports in 2025, Gilliland moved over to the flagship No. 34 Ford Mustang. He partnered with crew chief Chris Lawson for the first time, and he posted a career-best season with five top-10 finishes, one top-five, and an average finish of 20.8.

This season, Gilliland has one top-10 finish. He crossed the line sixth overall at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 12. His average finish is 21.3.

The news of the extension comes as Gilliland prepares for an important weekend. He is one of four drivers remaining in the In-Season Challenge, which awards $1 million to the winner. If he delivers a better finish than Chase Elliott at North Wilkesboro Speedway, he will punch his ticket to the final round at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Gilliland is the second driver to sign an extension with Front Row Motorsports. Back on Oct. 23, 2025, the team announced that Zane Smith had signed a multi-year extension that would keep him in the No. 38 Ford Mustang for the foreseeable future.

Front Row Motorsports did not detail the number of years in Smith's extension, but the team noted that crew chief Ryan Bergenty would continue to lead the No. 38 team while working with Smith.

With Smith and Gilliland locked into their respective cars on new deals, the only question remaining is the future of the No. 4 car.

Noah Gragson has driven this entry since the start of the 2025 season. He posted three top-10 finishes and one top-five last season while working with crew chief Drew Blickensderfer. He had an average finish of 25.2.

This season, he has one top-10 finish while working with a new crew chief, Grant Hutchens. His average finish is still 25.2.

Gragson acknowledged that he continues to work on his future. He said while co-hosting The Dale Jr. Download with Chase Briscoe that he is trying to get a job for 2027.
