23XI Racing's Tyler Reddick won the pole for the Cup Series race with a lap of 29.072 seconds. He posted the best time despite hitting the wall in the No. 45 Toyota Camry. This marked his 13th career pole and his second of the season.

23XI Racing teammate Bubba Wallace qualified second at the South Carolina track. He posted a lap of 29.196 seconds. This is his second front row start at Darlington Raceway since the 2023 season.

"Gosh, I came off of (Turn) 2, and I asked Billy (Scott, crew chief) 'How was it?' And he said, 'Really good,'" Reddick told Fox Sports after winning the pole.

"Believe it or not, I just tried to take it easy and just finish the lap in 3 and 4, and I just overdid the throttle and just kind of knew I was in trouble."

The rest of the top 10 included Chase Elliott (29.319), Kyle Larson (29.377), Brad Keselowski (29.424), Chris Buescher (29.443), Ryan Blaney (29.476), Kyle Busch (29.478), Denny Hamlin (29.500), and Austin Dillon (29.538).

"Everyone on this Fifth Third Ford Mustang Dark Horse did a great job," Buescher said. "I'm proud of that qualifying effort. We had our woes on the day and that was a great recovery time to miss a little bit of practice time and get rolling.

"We had good long run speed. Our fire off was pretty good. I'm pretty happy with this thing. I'm proud to keep it in one piece, but that's a solid place to start from and we'll keep marching forward."

This starting position could also be significant for Keselowski, the man who won the 2024 Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Keselowski has 36 career wins, and he continues to seek another that will help him remain in contention for a spot in The Chase.

Two-time Southern 500 winner Chase Briscoe qualified 23rd with a lap of 29.819 seconds. He will line up next to Erik Jones (29.825), another two-time winner of the crown jewel race at Darlington Raceway.

The Goodyear 400 will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET. FS1 will provide coverage with Mike Joy performing play-by-play. Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer will serve as analysts for the Cup Series race. Pre-race coverage will start at 1:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR RaceDay on FS1.
