Jimmie Johnson Reveals Partial Schedule For 2024

Amid the announcement of a new sponsor at Legacy Motor Club, team owner and soon-to-be NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson, had some news of his own.

AdventHealth has moved from Trackhouse Racing and Chevrolet to Legacy Motor Club and Toyota for 2024. While Johnson has not fully revealed his plans for 2024, his team seems to have leaked three possible races for him where AdventHealth will be aboard his No. 84 Toyota.

The official statement from the team via press release shared that Johnson would be behind the wheel at Texas, Charlotte for the 600 and at Kansas.

"LEGACY MOTOR CLUB today announced the Club will join forces with AdventHealth to field the No. 43 Toyota Camry XSE for driver Erik Jones in six NASCAR Cup Series races, including the Daytona 500," the statement said. "Additionally, AdventHealth will compete in three events with seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson behind the wheel of the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE at Texas Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway in 2024."

Johnson's official plans hadn't been known to this point, but his schedule is starting to take shape Three races are now known, but he could be drive at a handful of other races on the 2024 schedule. Iowa comes to mind because he has only ever raced an Indy car at the track and did pretty well.

Another possibility may be the Brickyard 400, where he is a four-time winner.

Johnson shared his thoughts about the addition of AdventHealth, and how the team and sponsor are a natural fit for each other.

"This is a wonderful day for LEGACY M.C.," Johnson said. "AdventHealth believes health should be measured in terms of the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. This partnership is a natural fit for our Club and I know we will do great things together. I can't wait for this season to get started."

It will still be weird to see Johnson racing something other than a Chevrolet in NASCAR, but it will be a privilege to see a 7-time champion still racing in some capacity.
