2023 has been a year to forget for most fans of the Blue Ovals of Ford in NASCAR. Ford has only accounted for six wins this year, which is quite a huge drop-off from the past several seasons, including 2022 when Joey Logano won his second Cup championship for Team Penske.

The two-time Cup Champion has been flabbergasted about why Ford has been so down. Team Penske has two wins in 2023, and Logano already finds himself out of the playoffs.
In Team Penske and Stewart-Haas Racing's struggles, RFK Racing has quickly risen to the top of the Ford ladder. With Chris Buescher winning three times this season and his teammate, Brad Keselowski, right in the hunt week-in and week-out.
It's clear something is off at Ford. Logano questioned it during an appearance on Sirus XM NASCAR Radio. It's weird for many in the sport to see RFK outrun Team Penske when both teams run the same equipment. Logano dug deeper into that.
Why is @RFKracing outrunning @Team_Penske when they share information and have the same bodies?
🏌🏻 “They have the same golf club, they’re holding it in a different way. And they’re swinging it better.”

"We all have the same bodies, the same noses on the car... we share all our aero information, we all have the same engines in the car," Logano said. "The cars are the same, they're just doing it in a different way, as far as the way they set up their cars, the odds and ends...the little stuff."
Logano used an analogy about holding a golf club to describe the differences between RFK and Team Penske right now.
"They have the same golf club, they're holding it a different way, and swing it better. That's kinda what's going on right now, and we have to figure that piece out," Logano said.
It doesn't look like they are going to get much figured out with only six races left in the 2023 season. While Team Penske's Ryan Blaney is still alive for the championship, the team has generally lacked speed all year, so it sure looks like Penske should focus on getting things right in 2024.
