Netflix is no stranger to making documentaries about sports, and that is no different as they have recently begun a series documenting the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
The series is set to debut in 2024, but that doesn't mean all the drivers involved in the project feel comfortable with all the cameras following them around. One driver who has found all the extra cameras to be "annoying" is defending series champion Joey Logano.
Logano's frustration may be even higher after he failed to advance out of the first round of the playoffs following a crash in last weekend's Bristol Night Race.
Logano addressed his frustration with the show during his weekly segment on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Clearly Logano isn't too fond of the cameras following him around everywhere, including away from the race track. Though he does see why it is a good thing for NASCAR, he would like a few changes, including a chance for the drivers to have a say.

"It's okay, it's a little annoying if I'm being real with you guys," Logano said. "Who wants a camera following you and a microphone listening to everything you got? And you know, the way this Netflix thing is, we don't have editing rights. So what they get and what they use is totally up to them. So watch what you say and watch what you do because they can use it, and they can edit it in a way that makes you look completely different than the actual situation that is happening. That part is really concerning for me, not that I'm worried I'm going to say the wrong thing. It's that they're going to use it in a different context than what it actually was. That's what makes me really nervous about the situation. At the same time, I watch docuseries all the time and I love them, about sports or whatever. I think they're great because I learn about what somebody's industry is all about and how people prepare and whatever. So I really like that part, but being on it is not that much fun."
Netflix probably got some great footage this past week seeing as Logano had a really bad night at Bristol Motor Speedway. The best news out of this for Logano is he won't have to deal with the camera crew much now since he was eliminated after the first round of the playoffs.
Whatever the case, a NASCAR Netflix docuseries will certainly result in a very interesting show.
