Kyle Busch is no stranger to making NASCAR history, yet he did so once again on Friday evening at Dover Motor Speedway.

The two-time Cup Series champion put on a dominant performance at the Monster Mile as he swept the stage wins and led 147 of 200 possible laps. He scored his 69th career Truck Series win, and he became the first driver in series history to lead 1,000 laps at a single track.

Ty Majeski crossed the line in second place. The rest of the top 10 included Layne Riggs, Kaden Honeycutt, Christopher Bell, Brandon Jones, Christian Eckes, Corey LaJoie, Jake Garcia, and Justin Haley.

"I've been around for a long time," Busch joked to Fox Sports' Amanda Busick when asked about the historic feat.

The Las Vegas native has certainly competed in NASCAR for a long time. He has also maximized his opportunities in the lower-tier series. This is especially true at Dover Motor Speedway, a track where Busch has only competed 10 times in the Truck Series.

He made his Truck Series debut at the 1-mile track in 2005. He started fifth and led 19 laps en route to the win. Busch then competed at Dover every season from 2006-2011.

He led 692 laps in this span, but he only scored one win. His most dominant effort — 172 laps led in 2010 — ended early due to a fuel pump issue.

Busch took a break from the Monster Mile in 2012, but he returned for Truck Series starts in 2013 and 2014. He won both races while leading 200 combined laps. This took him to 911 career laps led.

The veteran driver returned to the track on Friday evening to kick off All-Star weekend. He won the pole in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado, and he led 147 laps. This took him to 1,058 laps led at the track.

He also secured a 50% win rate at the track in Truck Series competition with his fifth win in 10 starts.
