The Busch family spent plenty of time in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the final week of 2023, and celebrated the new year with plenty of racing.

Both Kyle and his son, Brexton, had flip-over crashes during their dirt-racing action at the Tulsa Shootout.
The father-son duo has spent a lot of time racing on dirt as the youngster learns the art of car-racing.
By having Brexton racing on dirt, Busch hopes his son can learn car control, much like Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson, who came to NASCAR after cutting their racing chops on short dirt ovals.
While racing looks to be in his future, Brexton's mom, Samantha, does have some concerns about some of the cars he might climb into in the future.
After seeing her husband's nasty flip in a non-winged midget race, her concern level probably raised the roof.
Brexton is currently racing in the Junior Sprints, and soon he will likely be venturing up to the Micros. After the Micros, comes the Midgets, which is his mom's biggest concern. Especially considering Brexton's development and his age.
Brexton told FloRacing what he wants to race next, but also noted his mom's concern.
"Yeah, probably get to Micros, maybe Midgets," Brexton said. "My mom doesn't want me to get into Midgets, though."
His dad echoed a similar sentiment, that mom wouldn't appreciate that, but there might be a time when Brexton will need to experience racing a Midget.
"Exactly. Mom would not like the Midget class. But we'll give it a whirl one day, we'll see how that goes," Busch said. "See what we like doing throughout the Micros."
Brexton's still very young but it is clear he has natural talent just like his dad and Uncle Kurt.
The next great Busch is well on his way despite his mom's concerns.
