Yet, Sunday's win at Talladega Superspeedway marked a first for the 2026 season. It served as the first time that Larson's family joined him for a celebration after a win this season instead of watching from afar.
Shortly after winning for the first time at a superspeedway, Larson celebrated with a massive burnout. Other drivers parked on pit road and began climbing from their cars.
Meanwhile, Katelyn Larson ran across the infield grass with son Cooper in her arms. This was a rare moment that the two-time NASCAR champion did not take for granted.
"It meant a lot," Larson said about seeing his family after the win. "It was a long run, I'm sure, for them from the motorhome lot."
For the first time this season, Kyle Larson's family was present for a Cup Series win.
This created multiple special moments that he will not take for granted.

Larson's family has not been omnipresent at the race track this season. Instead, the two older children — Owen and Audrey — have been competing in races for the family-owned team.
The conflicting schedules have kept them from accompanying him to the various tracks on the NASCAR circuit.
"My kids, they're getting older," Larson added. "They're into their own things. Racing a lot on the weekends, so they don't get to come to really any of my races."
The children actually had a race on the schedule for Talladega weekend, so they shouldn't have been present for Larson's win that moved him to a 73-point lead in the Chase standings.
However, the family decided to skip this race so that they could attend the festivities at Talladega. The fall race is one that racing families adore considering that Motor Racing Outreach (MRO) puts on some special festivities leading into Halloween.
The industry children have previously had the opportunity to take part in costume contests, and they have been able to trick-or-treating through the motorhome lot.

It was because of these festivities that Larson's family had the opportunity to be in attendance as he won his third race of the Chase.
They got to truly celebrate with him at the track, and they shared a family moment as all three children rode in — or on — the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro to victory lane.
"It is stressful when they're here 'cause, as you can imagine, three kids is craziness," Larson said (laughs). "When you do get those wins, it means a lot when they're here because they come less and less. The wins are so hard to get, too.
"Yeah, it was special to have them here. To get Owen to sit on the roof, Audrey and Cooper next to me, it was awesome. I think they know how badly I want to win a speedway race. I think they were very happy for me."
