Legacy Motor Club (LMC) is all about making the biggest strides it can to get better, and it has already improved its chances before the 2024 season starts.

LMC has added Trevor Bayne and Corey Heim to key roles with the organization for the 2024 season.
Bayne, the 2011 Daytona 500 champion, will serve as driver optimization leader where he will focus on race preparation for the team's two full-time drivers Erik Jones and John Hunter Nemechek, and for team owner and newly minted NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson, who will pilot his No.84 Toyota for nine races.
Heim, who enters his second full-time Craftsman Truck Series season with Tricon Girage, will be Legacy's official reserve driver, available to drive a Legacy car if one of the other drivers cannot drive during the season. It also likely gives Heim a future opportunity with the team.

Bayne joins 2003 Cup champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer, Matt Kenseth, who was hired in 2023 as the team's competition advisor.
"I'm super humbled that Jimmie (Johnson), Joey (Cohen), Matt (Kenseth) and our drivers are trusting me with their preparation process this year," Bayne told Kelly Crandall of Racer.com. "Preparation is one of the biggest keys in motorsports, and with so much data that is available to the drivers, it's my job to translate the most important parts to them and work with them to make sure they are ready to go in all aspects come race weekend. Jimmie, Matt and I built a great relationship through road biking and training together over the years. We all share a common mentality that drivers can all become even better at their craft if they are willing to put in the work — whether that be fitness, studying or leading their teams. Relying on raw ability at this level isn't enough."
Legacy has made itself better by adding Bayne and Heim, and hopefully, the results will be showcased this season.
