NASCAR and iRacing Studios have pulled the cover off "NASCAR 25" with the first in-depth video highlighting gameplay elements.

This video, which NASCAR posted on its YouTube channel, features Xfinity Series driver Anthony Alfredo taking part in practice sessions and races at Homestead-Miami Speedway and Richmond Raceway. He completed laps in two different Chevrolet race cars while iRacing's Matt Lewis provided some new information.
One highlight from the video is the revelation that "NASCAR 25" will feature a significant amount of customization. Obviously, this includes different driver assist settings to make each car easier or harder to drive based on each gamer's choice.
The video game will also feature settings to affect bumps on the various cars. If you want the competitors easier to spin out, you can make this possible by tweaking some of the settings. The same goes for if you want the virtual competitors to have better handling.
Alfredo, a dedicated sim racer, made several comments about the handling in the video. He said that he could tell the difference when racing against virtual Chase Briscoe and banging doors.
"Oh, we're leaning on each other," Alfredo said as he fought for a top-10 finish. "That even feels super realistic when you kinda like barely lean on each other like that, just enough to kind of bounce off of them. Kinda upsets the balance a little bit."
Another interesting point made by Lewis is that iRacing pulled every track and car from the simulator. This means that every track is laser-scanned to include every little bump and imperfection in the racing surface.
Yet, don't expect this to be a one-to-one recreation of the iRacing on PC that drivers and fans alike use each day. Lewis noted that the goal is making the game approachable for every skill level.
"This isn't about trying to put the iRacing sim on a console," Lewis said as Alfredo put a virtual Chevrolet through the paces.
Along with showing off some actual gameplay, iRacing and NASCAR made it possible for fans to preorder "NASCAR 25." The game launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on Oct. 14. It heads to PC via Steam on Nov. 11.
The standard edition of the game will cost $59.99 USD. The Gold Edition will cost $79.99. This edition includes early access to the game, three paint schemes for the cover drivers (William Byron, Ryan Blaney, and Christopher Bell), 5,000 Career Bonus Dollars, and 500 Career Rep Points.
The Gold Edition also includes the season pass, which will cover future content released for the game.
