Speedcafe reported ahead of the championship weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway that Love will reunite with Terry Wyhoon's Image Racing for the Super2 Series Adelaide Grand Final on Nov. 26-29.

The California native will drive a General Motors race car once again as he closes out the Team Chevy chapter of his career. He will move from Richard Childress Racing after the 2026 NASCAR season, and he will join the Ford Racing-affiliated Wood Brother Racing in the Cup Series in 2027.

Last year, Love made his debut in the Super2 Series. He drove the No. 57 with Whelen Engineering as his primary sponsor.

Love competed in two races in Australia, but he only finished one. A mechanical issue disrupted race No. 11 on the Super2 Series calendar. Love then finished 14th in his second attempt at the series.

Love's return to the Super2 Series will feature multiple days of on-track action, unlike in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. He will first take part in two practice sessions on Wednesday, Nov. 25, before taking on two qualifying sessions on Thursday, Nov. 26.

The weekend schedule will continue with race No. 11 of the season on Friday, Nov. 27. Love will then cap off his weekend with race No. 12 on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Of course, Love will not turn his attention to Australia and the Super2 Series until after Saturday evening's championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway (5 p.m. on CW and the ESPN app). He still has a chance to win his second consecutive title, as he sits only 22 points behind Justin Allgaier.

Love doesn't know if he will win Saturday's race or the championship. What he knows is that he has the speed in the car and the confidence behind the wheel to pull off the feat.

"I feel that I know where my current mindset is, and that's that I feel that our intermediate program is the best in the field this year, and as a driver that I have the most skill to execute what has to be executed this weekend to become a champion," he said on Championship Media Day.

"Maybe that bears the fruit and maybe it doesn't. I've been shown this year that you're not always going to reap the benefit that you deserve or that's fair.

"What you can control is the way that you show up to the racetrack, and I know that the way I'm showing up to the racetrack and my whole team as well, that we're the favorite in our eyes and we have more confidence than we probably know what to do with."
