According to an announcement at the annual NASCAR Awards, Chase Elliott continued his reign as the Cup Series Most Popular Driver. Justin Allagier won the award for the Xfinity Series. Rajah Caruth won the award for the Craftsman Truck Series.

"Thank you (the fans) for the votes," Elliott said in a press release. "Thank you for taking the time out of your day to do that and support us in that way and support me in that way. But it's so much more than the votes. I tell a lot of people this that I talk to about it, that it's really about the people and the support that I get to see first-hand.

"I know not everybody has that vantage point or that perspective, but it truly is incredible and every year it blows me away to travel to parts of the country that you would never think that people are that passionate about what we're doing. I just want to make sure everyone understands that I'm forever grateful for that, whether we win the award or don't win the award.

"I think I have some of the best fans in the world and really appreciate you guys supporting me and pushing us and wanting the best for our team and being there on the good days and the bad."

Last week, NASCAR revealed the five drivers in each series who scored the most votes from fans. Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ross Chastain made up the top five in the Cup Series.

Allgaier, Sheldon Creed, Matt DiBenedetto, Jesse Love, and Connor Zilisch made up the top five in the Xfinity Series. Toni Breidinger, Corey Heim, Layne Riggs, Caruth, and Matt Crafton made up the top five in the Truck Series.

Elliott first took over as the Cup Series Most Popular Driver in 2018. Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired, so he was no longer eligible for the award. Elliott became the go-to choice for NASCAR fans while following in the footsteps of his father, Bill Elliott, who won the award 16 times.

Elliott has won Most Popular Driver every season since 2018. He has won the award eight times, taking him halfway to his father's record.

The last six seasons of the Xfinity Series have featured only two drivers winning Most Popular Driver. Allgaier won the award five times, including the last two seasons. Noah Gragson won the award in 2022 before moving up to the Cup Series. Allgaier now has his sixth award. Caruth has won his second award.
