According to Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal, there have been talks in the industry about holding a race in the historic stadium.

"NASCAR has held discussions about a possible race at the Dodgers' historic Dodger stadium in the coming years, per sources, one of the options that's been evaluated in Southern California." Stern posted on X.

If talks do heat up about a race being held at Dodger Stadium, it would make sense as it would pair along with what NASCAR President Steve Phelps told FOX Sports before the season started. Phelps made it known that the plan was to have NASCAR racing in Southern California next year.

This could be a supplemental plan as it appears that the proposed short tack remodel of Auto Club Speedway will not be ready for a race in 2025, if at all. It is too early in talks to know what kind of race NASCAR would be looking to host at the venue. It could be a road course made outside the stadium or a temporary short track built inside the stadium.

NASCAR has spent the past three years racing inside the L.A. Coliseum for The Clash. The pre-season exhibition race took place on a temporary short track inside the stadium.

Meanwhile, Formula 1 races outside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami with a street course set up outside the home of the Miami Dolphins. IndyCar's Nashville Grand Prix has also used the streets around the Tennessee Titans' home stadium for its street race.

The events have largely run smoothly, and both have been successful for each of their respective series.

There is no guarantee that NASCAR holds a race at Dodger Stadium, but it interesting to see what lengths NASCAR is looking at when it comes to expanding its avenues in terms of places to race. The success of The Clash at the Coliseum has allowed NASCAR to be open to using stadiums to bring its product to new fan bases.
