NASCAR has provided another piece of the schedule puzzle. Racing fans now know where the championship weekend will head to close out the 2027 season.

According to a press release, the championship races will return to Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2027. This weekend will take place on Nov. 12-14, 2027, and it will mark the second consecutive year that the South Florida track hosts the national series.
The Craftsman Truck Series race will happen on Friday, Nov. 12, 2027. The O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race will be on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2027. The Cup Series race will close out the season on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2027.
"The South Florida community is thrilled to once again be the home for NASCAR Championship Weekend in 2026 and 2027, as next year will be the Speedway's 20th time doing so," said Guillermo Santa Cruz, Homestead-Miami Speedway President.
"The excitement, drama, and energy surrounding the championship brings tremendous visibility, economic impact, and engagement to our community, while showcasing what Homestead-Miami Speedway can offer as a premier destination for major events."
The championship race first moved to Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2002. It remained at the South Florida track through the 2019 season when Kyle Busch celebrated his second Cup Series title.
The finale moved to Phoenix Raceway in 2020, and it remained there through 2025. Now, it will move back to Homestead-Miami Speedway while NASCAR showcases a significant investment into the facility.

The press release noted that a $20 million renovation project is underway at the 1.5-mile track. This project will be completed before the 2026 championship weekend.
The highlights from this project include a new primary entrance gate, a renovated Ally Champions Club, and an expanded fan zone with more refreshment options and more activations.
"Homestead-Miami Speedway has a rich history of delivering some of the most memorable championship moments in our sport, and this investment will ensure the venue is positioned for its next era of championship racing," said NASCAR COO Ben Kennedy.
"As we continue with our NASCAR Championship rotating model, it is important that our marquee facilities continue to innovate and provide best-in-class experiences for our fans. These enhancements will elevate the fan experience while reinforcing Homestead-Miami Speedway's status as a championship-caliber destination."
