Rick Ware Racing is no stranger to competing in multiple motorsports series at the same time. This team already fields a full-time entry in the Cup Series while also competing in NHRA, American Flat Track, FIM World Supercross Championship, and the CARS Tour.
Rick Ware Racing previously competed in the Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, and NTT IndyCar Series.
This is not the first time that Rick Ware Racing has competed in the NASCAR Canada Series. It also had a presence in 2021 while fielding two teams for Andrew Ranger and Alex Guenette.
Ranger won two races and finished second in the championship standings. Guenette finished seventh in the standings after posting seven top-10 finishes.
"We've wanted to get back to the NASCAR Canada Series, but it needed to be the right opportunity, and we feel like we have that with the two-car program we're putting together for 2027," said team owner Rick Ware.
"D.J. gives us a proven winner who knows this series inside and out, and we're proud to represent Castrol and become part of the relationship they've built with D.J. over the past three decades. We're equally pleased with what we're putting together for our second car, and we look forward to sharing more about that program when the time is right."
