The team announced on Wednesday that Mike Dillon has taken on the role of chief operating officer (COO). He will focus on competition administrative functions, which include finding and retaining top talent in the racing industry.

Andy Street, who previously served as crew chief for Austin Hill and Kyle Busch, will take over as performance director. He will focus on research and development and increasing performance throughout the company.

Street will also serve as part-time crew chief of the No. 33 Chevrolet in the Cup Series, which returns for the 2026 season. This entry previously featured Hill and Jesse Love as drivers.

John Klausmeier, a former crew chief at Stewart-Haas Racing, will work as technical director. He will focus on vehicle systems engineering, design, and metrology while reporting directly to Dillon. All competition departments will report to Klausmeier.

"RCR has assembled a talented team of professionals to help lead our race team into the future," said Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. "Mike Dillon has already began assembling top talent for RCR and has a track record of success when working with the competition side of our race team.

"Similarly, John Klausmeier continues to elevate our competition program. Andy Street stepped up for us this year and will be a great asset for RCR as we focus on increasing performance across the company. I have full confidence in our crew chiefs this year. I know that both Richard Boswell and Jim Pohlman will do a good job leading our Cup teams."

As part of the announcement, RCR confirmed the crew chief lineup for the 2026 season. Boswell will continue working with Austin Dillon after celebrating a win at Richmond Raceway last season.

Pohlman will spend his first season with Kyle Busch after making the move from JR Motorsports and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. The two champions have not yet taken on a race together, but they had the opportunity to build the program on Tuesday during an offseason test at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

"I mean, it's early, right? Very early," Busch said at the test. "So just working through everything and trying to get some familiarity for him, the race cars and the setups and the things that they do and what we do and whatnot.

"So trying to run through kind of his lists of understanding the race car and changes and the feel and just kind of getting back in the swing of things for me."
