Ryan Blaney Pokes Back at New York Knicks Photo Mishap

There was some NASCAR flavor at a recent New York Knicks game, as 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney from Team Penske and 23XI Racing's Bubba Wallace attended the Knicks game against the Utah Jazz at Madison Square Garden.

The pair were in town to do a press tour for the new "NASCAR: HighSpeed" Netflix series.

The Knicks' social media team posted a photo of Wallace on their X page, but Blaney was omitted from the announcement completely, and, adding insult to injury, the Knicks completely cropped Blaney out of the photo even though when he was seated right next to Wallace.

Blaney didn't leave the obvious omission alone, as he had a funny response to the photo.

"Getting cropped out is some child (poop emoji)," Blaney posted on X.

It appears even if you are the champion of your sport, you can sometimes be overlooked.

Blaney wasn't alone in poking fun about the situation, as Wallace later had a reply of his own. The pair of friends are always looking for ways to rib each other, and the Knicks provided a great chance for Wallace to poke fun.

"Even told us to scoot closer to get both of us... still cropped it (skull emoji)," Wallace responded.

It's nice that the Knicks gave Blaney and Wallace a chance to have some fun, but maybe Blaney won't be making a return to a Knicks game anytime soon.

Wallace, on the other hand, surely will be welcomed back anytime following the shoutout from the team.

As the 2024 NASCAR season gets ready to take its green flag, Blaney looks to defend his Cup title while Wallace looks to build off his first playoff appearance. Hopefully, they can avoid any further photo cropping.
