The Xfinity Series team announced the news with a statement on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday night.

"DGM Racing will part ways with Ryan Ellis, Driver of the No. 71 Chevrolet, following Championship Weekend in Phoenix," the statement said. "We wish Ryan the best in his next chapter and look forward to finishing the year strong with Classic Collision on board for our last race together."

DGM Racing did not provide any details about its driver lineup for the 2026 season. These announcements will come at a later date.

Ellis, a Virginia native, made the move to DGM Racing this season. He took over the No. 71 Chevrolet for the full schedule, and he kicked off a solid season. He scored his first career top-10 finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and he delivered eight top-20 finishes in the first 31 races of the season.

Prior to joining DGM Racing, Ellis revived his racing career with Alpha Prime Racing. He went from doing marketing and PR to making some part-time starts for the Chevrolet team.

Ellis started by making 11 starts for Alpha Prime Racing in 2022 as he worked on putting together sponsorship. He scored what was at the time a career-best 13th-place finish at both Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Virginia native increased his number of starts to 31 in 2023 and set a new career-best mark by finishing 11th at Talladega Superspeedway. He then went full-time in 2024, the first time in his career.

Now after consecutive full-time seasons, Ellis will move on to a new home. He will aim to keep his career moving while joining a new team for the 2026 O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season.
