Samantha Busch Roasts Husband After Atlanta Finish

After Kyle Busch finished third in Sunday's Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway by just 0.007 seconds behind race winner Daniel Suarez — with Ryan Blaney just a small margin ahead — he took to Instagram to express his feelings about coming up a few inches short of victory. Hilariously, if somewhat brutally, Busch's wife of nearly 14 years, Samantha, responded with perhaps the troll of the century.  @LostSchemes captured the moment on Instagram.

"Can't get much closer than that," Busch wrote. "Needed a couple more inches."

"I've been telling you that for almost 20 years," Samantha wrote.

Clearly, Mrs. Busch isn't one to soften a bruised ego.

Busch's third-place finish came after "Rowdy" took his truck to victory lane in the Craftsman Truck Series' Fr8 208 race at Atlanta earlier in the weekend, earning his 65th Truck Series race victory in thrilling fashion. But that excitement will likely be forgotten in the wake of the Ambetter Health 400's breathtaking three-wide finish.

Busch ended up in the middle of Suarez and Blaney and was just pipped to the line by the two other drivers. While he might have shown disappointment on social media, he expressed satisfaction in the post-race interview.

"Overall, just real proud of everybody at RCR," Busch said. "Our Cheddar's Camaro was fast. It's good to see Daniel get a win. We were helping each other being Chevy team partners and working together there. Shows that when you do have friends and you can make alliances that they do seem to work, and that was a good part of today.

"I was hoping to get a win because I know everybody wanted a free No. 8 special on Monday from Cheddar's, so dammit. We'll have to do it again and find another one."

A Kyle Busch Cup Series victory and the free Cheddar's No. 8 special — whatever that is — will surely please a lot of people when he finally finishes the job. But surely no one will be more satisfied than Samantha herself.
