Toyota Expands Relationship With Major Sponsor

Toyota Racing has expanded its relationship with Mobil 1 entering 2024.

Mobil 1 will now give its primary assets to all of the Toyota NASCAR Cup Series teams (Joe Gibbs Racing, 23XI Racing and Legacy Motor Club). JGR will also have multiple races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series where Mobil 1 serves as the primary sponsor for Chandler Smith.

This partnership doesn't just end with NASCAR. There will be primary sponsorship provided in Toyota's NHRA Drag Racing Series, IMSA SportsCar Championship, ARCA Series, Late Models and more. Rob Shearer, director of global sponsorships and marketing services for Mobil 1, spoke about the expanded partnership between Mobil 1 and Toyota Racing.

"Mobil 1 is proud to be synonymous with motorsports, and we are thrilled to take that to the next level with Toyota Racing Development," Shearer said. "Toyota Racing Development shares the same passion performance as we do and, together, we will work to continue to show how the right motor oil can improve on-track performance and provide longevity for consumers' vehicles."

To preview the partnership announcement, the newly sponsored drivers by Mobil 1 posted videos on social media about finding a "Golden T1cket." It was similar to the golden tickets found in the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The drivers involved on the NASCAR side were Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace, John Hunter Nemechek and Chandler Smith.

Bell will kick things off with Mobil 1 this weekend in Los Angeles, as Mobil 1 will serve as his primary sponsor for the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum. Bell will also have Mobil 1 as the primary sponsor of his car at Richmond Raceway in March and Talladega Superspeedway in April.

Both 23XI racing drivers will run Mobil 1 cars during the season. Reddick will run a Mobil 1 car at Phoenix Raceway in March and at Richmond Raceway in August. Wallace will see Mobil 1 as the primary sponsor on his car at the Circuit of Americas in March.

Legacy Motor Club will see Nemechek have Mobil 1 as his primary sponsor toward the end of the 2024 season.

Mobil 1 makes its debut as a primary sponsor for Joe Gibbs Racing's Christopher Bell at the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum this Sunday, at 8 p.m. EST.
