According to a press release, Tricon Garage will continue to field Toyota Tundra TRD Pro entries in the NASCAR series. This extension continues a partnership that began in 2023 when David Gilliland Racing switched from Ford Racing to Toyota and rebranded as Tricon Garage.

The two organizations announced the news after Corey Heim won last Friday's race at Martinsville Speedway and clinched the Manufacturers' Championship for Toyota.

"Everyone at Toyota Motor North America and TRD are pleased to extend our official agreement with Tricon Garage," said Tyler Gibbs, president, TRD U.S.A. "David Gilliland, Johnny Gray, and Kevin Ray are valued members of our Toyota family.

"They've worked tirelessly to build Tricon into a powerhouse Truck Series team, filled with consistent on-track success. We look forward to continuing to achieve at a high level together in the years to come."

Tricon Garage — then David Gilliland Racing — made its Truck Series debut in 2018 with Toyota entries. The team continued repping the brand in 2019 and scored its first win at Kentucky Speedway with Tyler Ankrum.

However, the team switched to Ford Racing in 2020 and remained under the blue oval banner through the end of the 2022 season. Ryan Preece won two races for DGR during this era while Todd Gilliland won once.

When Kyle Busch Motorsports switched to Chevrolet in 2023, an opportunity opened up for a new flagship team to join Toyota. DGR took this path and rebranded.

The move has since paid dividends as the team has celebrated 21 more wins, two regular-season championships, and three appearances in the Championship 4. Heim has accounted for 20 of these wins while setting multiple series records.

"It has been a pleasure to work alongside Toyota for the last three seasons," Tricon Garage GM Kevin Ray said in a statement. "We are beyond excited to extend our partnership for multiple years and appreciate the support and trust Toyota has in Tricon to represent their program at the highest level on and off the track."
