Tyler Reddick took some time during the Talladega Superspeedway pre-race show to drop some sudden news. He has signed a new contract extension with 23XI Racing.

The Cup Series' season leader in race wins, Reddick entered 2026 seeking a new deal. He would become a free agent after 2026 without a new deal, but 23XI Racing removed the risk of this happening. The team worked out the deal with Reddick, and he put pen to paper.

"We got the deal done," Reddick told Fox Sports. "I'm going to be continuing my future here at 23XI. Excited to have that all done and be able to continue building on what we've done.

"So, I'm just really glad that myself and 23XI were able to get to a good place and get the deal done. So I'll be here for hopefully a long time."

This move is not a surprise. Both Reddick and team co-owner Denny Hamlin have expressed confidence throughout the season that they would get the deal in place.

After all, Hamlin aggressively pursued Reddick when he raced for Richard Childress Racing, and he locked in the California driver with a contract over a year before his deal with RCR expired.

"I'm just really proud of where we are today and the progress we're making," Reddick told The Athletic during an event at Airspeed, the 23XI Racing facility, in March.

"I want to be here; I love racing here at 23XI and I'm looking forward to getting all buttoned up so we can move on."

Reddick has delivered considerable success since replacing Hall of Famer Kurt Busch in 2023. He won two races in his first season with the team and then he added three more in 2024. He also won the regular-season championship in 2024 before making the championship round of the playoffs.

Reddick went winless in 2025 while dealing with some personal family health matters, but he has since returned to his winning ways. He has won five of the first nine races of the 2026 season while building up a 105-point lead in the championship standings.
