But he was not celebrating. He's still 106 points behind championship leader Kyle Larson despite leading the Cup Series with five wins this season.
"Yeah, we gained five points. Whoop-de-doo," Reddick said on pit road after the race. "We have to capitalize when we have Toyota Camrys as fast as this.
"We have to win those races. The key to that is being clean and executing. We just haven't done that in a very long time."
The 23XI Racing driver has dealt with no shortage of frustrating moments in the back half of the season. This team has dealt with issues on pit road and crashes that have dropped Reddick out of championship contention.
He has not won since April 19 at Kansas Speedway, and he has only posted seven top-five finishes. Only two have come in the Chase.

Reddick finished third in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. He then finished 25th, 18th, and 11th before scoring a third-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
This race in Nevada started with the No. 45 team putting itself in contention. Reddick started the race in fifth place, and he finished the first stage in fourth. However, he had to pit on a closed road after experiencing voltage and alternator issues.
The No. 45 team spent time trying to fix the alternator, which dropped Reddick to the rear of the field for the restart. He made his way to 11th by the end of stage 2, but he missed out on some crucial points.
Reddick continued making strides as the final stage continued at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He raced into the top three with nine laps to go, and he pulled within one second of leader Chase Briscoe with five laps to go.
Reddick was within reach of a contending for the win in the final two laps, but he actually crossed the start finish line going through the infield grass. The reason is that Kyle Larson made a mistake in second place.
The defending champion got loose and over-corrected. He slammed into the wall and then hit Reddick. This contact sent Reddick sliding through the grass while Larson crossed the finish line with a heavily-damaged car.

"I mean, we just had to dig deep," Reddick said. "I mean, unfortunately, at this point it's pretty much normal to have issues all day long for us on this team. That's just what we're used to. So we know what to do. We know how to fight through it.
"You know, it took us a little bit longer than we wanted to to get back to the front, but once we did, I thought we were in a pretty good spot there. Settled into, I think, it was fourth or fifth. Unfortunately, we just slow stop, we lost time in that cycle, and the 5 and the 24 got in front of us.
"Ultimately, it probably played a part in just coming up a little short today, but yeah, I had to fight through the issues and, I mean, be able to hang onto it and still cross the line and hold onto third off the final corner. We fought through everything that we had really well today."
