The Xfinity team made the announcement on Wednesday. Retzlaff will drive the No. 4 full-time next season as he becomes teammates with Brennan Poole, who returns to the No. 44. The No. 4 became available with JD Motorsports going through a reorganization period.

Alpha Prime Racing will provide details about the crew chief and sponsor lineup at a later date.

"I'm just super excited to have him join us," team owner Caesar Bacarella said in a statement. "He's a young, really talented racecar driver and he's going to help elevate the team.

"There's been a lot of ups and downs, but (Tommy Joe Martins) and I agree it's all about the people. It's so hard. We're racing against the best teams in the world. But we've got great people and that's what's made it work. And now we've got two ace drivers in the stable full-time."

The Wisconsin native spent the last two seasons competing full-time for Jordan Anderson Racing. He drove the No. 31 while accruing three top-five finishes and 11 top-10s. Retzlaff's best finish with Jordan Anderson Racing was third at Daytona International Speedway.

However, Retzlaff led the NASCAR Xfinity Series with 12 DNFs due to crashes and mechanical issues.

"I feel like we still have something to prove," Retzlaff said in a statement. "We all want to win races, be consistent, and prove we're here to compete. Everyone here has told me how much they believe in me and what I can do."

Retzlaff announced on Nov. 14 that he would not return to the No. 31 for another season. He did not provide details about his destination at the time. Jordan Anderson Racing later announced that Blaine Perkins would take over the No. 31 Chevrolet for the 2025 season.
