The Wisconsin native announced the news Thursday afternoon with a statement on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
"As my sophomore season in the Xfinity Series comes to an end, I am announcing that I will not be returning to Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport in 2025," Retzlaff said.
"I can't thank Jordan Anderson and John Bommarito (enough) for giving me my first full time opportunity to race in the Xfinity Series and for allowing me to chase my dreams. Thank you to all my sponsors, team members, and supporters for all your encouragement while driving the 31 these last two years.
"As I close this chapter in my book, I am so grateful to have had such a supportive team behind me."
Retzlaff, who made his Xfinity debut with RSS Racing in 2022, joined Jordan Anderson Racing in 2023 as the team expanded to two full-time entries. He finished 16th in the standings after posting one top-five finish and seven top-10s. His best outing was a fourth-place finish in the season-opening Daytona race.
Retzlaff returned to JAR last season and finished 21st in points after an inconsistent campaign. He posted two top-five finishes and four top-10s but also failed to finish 12 of the 33 races due to unexpected issues or crashes. Retzlaff also won the pole for the first time in his career at Richmond Raceway.
The 2024 schedule did not solely feature Xfinity races. Retzlaff competed in two Cup Series races. He made his debut at Richmond in July while driving for MBM Motorsports. He then joined Beard Motorsports for the summer race at Daytona, which he used to score a seventh-place finish.
Retzlaff said after winning the pole at Martinsville two weeks ago that he didn't have any plans set for the 2025 season. He did not provide any more information Thursday when he announced his departure from Jordan Anderson Racing.
The Xfinity Series team has not said whether it will have one or two full-time cars next season, nor has it revealed whether Jeb Burton will return for a third season.
