A multi-time championship-winning racer has announced that he is retiring. Dylan Ferrandis is walking away from competition.

Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing, the team for which Ferrandis races, provided the update with a press release earlier this week. The team said that the 2026 season is his last, and it will close out a season in which he helped the Ducati program get off the ground.
"This weekend's race will be my last race as a professional racer, and I will retire from the sport," Ferrandis said in a press release.
"I have been riding dirt bikes since three years old all around the world and this life has been exctly what I wanted. It's been a great year with the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team and we will try to finish the season on a high note and enjoy these last few moments of racing."

The Frenchman has competed professionally for more than a decade while suiting up for multiple teams. He spent time with Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki, CLS Kawasaki, Star Racing Yamaha, Phoenix Honda, and Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Team while winning numerous events.
He scored the 2019 AMA Supercross 250cc West championship, the 2020 AMA Supercross 250cc West, the 2020 AMA 250cc Motocross championship, and the 2021 AMA 450cc Motocross championship while becoming one of the sport's most respected racers.
This season, he took on a different challenge. He became the primary driver for the Ducati Factory Team as the motorcycle brand competed in Supercross. He tested the motorcycle, provided data and feedback, and helped the manufacturer celebrate milestones.
Ferrandis recorded Ducati's first top-10 finish in the sport. He then added another 19 while earning a spot in the SMX Playoffs. He also posted a career-best fourth-place finish for the brand.
"I have had the privilege of working with Dylan since 2024. Throughout that time, he has been one of the hardest-working riders I have ever been around," said Josh Wisenor, Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team Manager. "His work ethic is next level and truly unmatched.
"Dylan has an incredible intuition on the motorcycle that has, and continues to, amaze me. The way he is able to pick up on the smallest changes and adjustments, while constantly pushing for improvement within himself and with the bike, is something special. He never settles.
"It is bittersweet because Dylan has been such an asset to the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati team in the short time he has been with us, and I wish we could have had more time together. But it makes me happy knowing that he will be walking away from racing on his own accord - healthy, happy, and knowing that he had an extremely successful and respected career."
