Roush Yates Engines has taken an opportunity to poke fun at Hendrick Motorsport after a disqualification took Alex Bowman out of the playoffs.

The company, which provides horsepower to Ford Performance teams, made a post on social media celebrating Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney moving on to the Round of 8 of the Cup Series playoffs.
The person who drafted the post added in the caption, "Because we're all better off with an ally." This just happens to be the exact tagline used in an advertising campaign by Ally, Bowman's primary sponsor.

As expected, this dig didn't escape notice. Dozens of people weighed in on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to respond. Some praised the person behind the social media account while others said the caption was cold.
One person, in particular, said that "the funniest thing" that could happen at Las Vegas Motor Speedway would be both Roush Yates Engines failing during the race.
"Shouldn't you guys be more concerned that the 22 needed a technicality to get them in and they've run like crap most of the season," one person asked.
"If not for one race with 75 overtimes, they wouldn't even be in the playoffs. How about fix your trash performance first."
The "75 overtimes" referenced Logano's first win this season, which took place at Nashville Superspeedway. The two-time Cup champion was not in contention for the win at the 1.33-mile track before the race devolved into chaos.
The race went to overtime after Austin Cindric spun due to a right rear tire going flat. This set up overtime as several drivers headed down pit road for fuel and tires. Logano was one of the few who stayed out.
A series of wrecks continued to extend the Nashville race while collecting Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Busch, Corey Heim, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, and Josh Berry. Through it all, Logano continued staying out despite having considerable fuel concerns.
The Nashville race ultimately went to a fifth overtime attempt, which Logano used to win for the first time this season. This victory secured his spot in the opening round of the playoffs, and then he won the opener at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Logano is now in the Round of 8 with three chances to lock up a spot in the Championship 4. How he got there is less important to Roush Yates Engines. What matters is that he and Blaney will try to keep Ford Performance's Next Gen championship streak alive.
