The Virginia native will make the move to DGM Racing. He will join the Florida-based team while bringing a list of 15 sponsors along for the ride. This includes Classic Collision, Sweetwater Construction, Four Loko, Rich Mar Florist, and several others.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to our family and looking forward to advancing our Xfinity program together," team owner Mario Gosselin said in a statement. "Solidifying next year's season this early on is huge for our small team.
"Having the resources this soon gives us the opportunity to upgrade some of our equipment and start preparing in a way we have been unable to in prior seasons, which I believe will result in our best on-track performance."
Ellis has competed in NASCAR since the 2012 season while driving for a variety of drivers. He spent part of his career suiting up for some start-and-park operations, he did public relations for fellow driver Matt DiBenedetto, and he did marketing and PR at Our Motorsports.
The situation changed for Ellis in 2022. He made 11 starts for Alpha Prime Racing and kicked off his tenure with the team with a career-best 13th-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He later matched the finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Ellis's consistency in 2022 and his ability to attract sponsors with hard work led to an expanded schedule in 2023. He made 31 starts for Alpha Prime Racing and posted a career-best 11th-place finish in the process.
This season was Ellis's first as a full-time driver. He has suited up for Alpha Prime Racing in every race and has matched his career-best marks in finishing position and laps led.

The move to DGM Racing provides Ellis with another opportunity to pursue his first career top-10 finish in the Xfinity Series. The Gosselin-owned team is one of the smaller on the starting grid, but it has delivered some strong finishes with a variety of drivers.
Alex Labbe, Preston Pardus, Josh Bilicki, and Ross Chastain have delivered numerous top-10 finishes in road course races. Josh Williams, Mason Massey, and Kyle Weatherman have posted top-10s on a variety of superspeedways and ovals.
"Chatting with Mario about his plans for the program in 2025 convinced me that joining DGM was something I couldn't pass up," Ellis said. "He's a racer, and his enthusiasm was immediately contagious.
"I have so much respect for what the Gosselin family has built, and I hope that we can turn some heads together next year. I've seen just how high the potential is at DGM, and I can't wait to be a part of it."
