TNT Sports is kicking off its return to NASCAR by partnering with Max to provide a brand-new level of access to racing fans during Cup Series races.

The broadcast partner announced on Jan. 30 the launch of a brand-new NASCAR Driver Cam experience. Exclusive to Max (subscription required), this service will provide 1080p in-car camera access to up to 40 drivers in each race. The stream will also include team radio mixed with ambient car noise.

This experience will start on Sunday, Feb. 2, with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. It will continue for the entire 38-week Cup Series schedule.

The NASCAR Driver Cam experience is not limited solely to footage and audio, however. Max will also provide "integrated live stats — stage, lap number, position, and race status." Fans will have access to telemetry data including speed, RPM, and gear among other things.

When Max subscribers launch the experience, they will have the option to choose their viewing experience. They can move forward with individual driver cameras or two pre-set Multiview stream options featuring four drivers each.

The choice of four drivers will depend on prominent storylines and matchups. Fans will also help select one quartet by voting on a weekly poll from B/R Racing.

According to TNT Sports, users will be able to pause, rewind, and fast forward while enjoying the NASCAR Driver Cam experience.

The immersive race day experience is another key part of TNT Sports returning to NASCAR as part of a seven-year deal. The broadcast partner will also provide exclusive access to the Cup Series' in-season tournament.

Announced last season, the tournament will begin when TNT Sports takes over coverage. Thirty-two drivers will be put into a bracket — as determined by the final three races of the Prime Video schedule — and then they will face off over five races.

Much like brackets in other sports, competitors will be eliminated from contention each week of the tournament. The driver who performs the best during this stretch of the NASCAR Cup Series season will win $1 million.

The in-season tournament schedule, which will also simulcast on Max, will begin with the Atlanta night race on Saturday, June 28. It will continue with Chicago on July 6, Sonoma on July 13, Dover on July 20, and Indianapolis on July 27.
