Tom Cruise is reportedly facing a personal development as excitement continues to build around a long-rumored "Days of Thunder" sequel.

According to Page Six, Cruise's daughter, Suri, has legally changed her last name to Noelle, dropping Cruise from her legal name.
Public records reviewed by the outlet show the 20-year-old registered to vote in Pennsylvania under the name Suri Noelle while attending Carnegie Mellon University. Page Six also reported Pennsylvania residents must register using their legal names, indicating the change has been made official.
The outlet reported there was no name-change filing in Allegheny County, suggesting the change may have been completed in New York before Suri left for college.
Suri has reportedly been using the name Noelle publicly for some time. During her 2024 high school graduation, the surname Cruise was absent from the ceremony program, with Page Six previously reporting she chose Noelle — her mother Katie Holmes' middle name — as a way to establish her own identity.
Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012 after six years of marriage. Suri has largely lived with Holmes since then, and multiple reports over the years have indicated she has had little or no relationship with her father.
The reported name change comes as Cruise remains one of Hollywood's busiest stars. Along with the continued success of the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, the actor has also been linked to a potential sequel to the 1990 NASCAR film "Days of Thunder," although no official production timeline has been announced.
Neither Cruise nor Holmes has publicly commented on the report.
