A competitor in the Tulsa Shootout took a wild ride on Tuesday while sliding around the dirt track. Gabe Zahner launched his sprint car into the dumpster while competing in a heat race.

Zahner, who drives the No. 32Z entry, flipped multiple times before launching into the air. The entry slammed into the catchfence and hung there for a moment before sliding out of the camera's view.

An alternate angle then revealed that the car had ended up in a dumpster, which clearly said "No parking" on the side in red lettering. It remained there until the heavy machinery could lift it out.

Zahner was able to climb from the car and take part in a post-incident interview. He used this to provide his perspective of the wildly unique situation that unfolded inside the SageNet Center in Tulsa.

"I'm feeling good," Zahner told FloRacing after the incident. "I didn't even know I went that high. I saw I was going to run the high side and then the next thing I know, I'm flipping and I'm sitting on my side. I'm just glad I'm ok. I don't know about my car, but that can be fixed. I can't."

The reporter continued the interview by asking Zahner what he was thinking and what he was hearing after coming to a rest. The racer responded by saying, "I don't really hear nothing. I'm just like, 'Oh, s—-' and then I'm in the air. I guess I come out and I'm in a dumpster."

Zahner will continue with the Tulsa Shootout along with hundreds of other competitors who want to win the prestigious Golden Driller trophy. This list includes two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch and his son Brexton, who won his first Golden Driller last year. Two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Larson will also take part after returning from Australia, where he won the $110,000 High Limit Racing event.
