Voting began Monday, Oct. 28, at noon ET, the day after Tyler Reddick won at Homestead-Miami Speedway with an exhilarating pass in the final turns.

Voting runs through Thursday, Nov. 21. The winner will be named during the annual NASCAR Awards Ceremonies on Friday, Nov. 22, in Charlotte.

Fans can vote up to five times per day, per email address. They can vote on www.NASCAR.com/mostpopulardriver or on the NASCAR mobile app. To be eligible for the award, a driver must have declared for Cup Series points and been in contention for the championship during the 2024 season.

Curtis Turner was the first driver to win this prestigious award in 1949. NMPA has administered and presented it since 1983. Hooters previously served as the presenting sponsor of the award. This will not be the case this season.

Chase Elliott has won the NMPA Most Popular Driver Award in the last five seasons. NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott holds the record for the most award wins with 16. Fellow Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the award in 15 consecutive seasons (2003-17).

Voting for the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series Most Popular Driver Awards also began on Oct. 28.

Hailie Deegan won the award in the last three seasons of the Truck Series. She no longer competes in the series so a new driver will lock up the award this season.

Justin Allgaier won the Xfinity Series Most Popular Driver Award last season. This was his fourth time winning the award in the last five seasons. Noah Gragson broke up the streak by winning in 2022.

Allgaier, who signed a multi-year extension with JR Motorsports, is eligible for the award once again.
