Authorities say two people are facing charges following a series of incidents during Nottingham Forest's Europa League matchup with Turkish side Fenerbahçe, per BBC.
Police made three arrests after multiple disturbances inside the stadium, including flares being thrown from the away supporters' section. The situation became serious enough that the match had to be briefly stopped during the first half.
According to Nottinghamshire Police, 37-year-old Ender Celik of Hackney, London, has been charged with throwing a missile toward an area adjacent to the pitch.
Meanwhile, 38-year-old Dale Morgan of Nottingham has been charged with entering the playing area during the match.
Both men have since been released on bail with conditions and are scheduled to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on March 17 in separate hearings.
Police also confirmed that a third individual who had been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a stadium steward will not face further action.
Investigators said additional damage was discovered in a section of seating in the away end after supporters left the stadium following the game.
Despite the off-field chaos, Forest ultimately had the last laugh in the tie. While they lost the match 2-1 on the night, the English club still advanced with a 4-2 aggregate victory to move on in the Europa League.
