The fans of the FIFA World Cup are showcasing their adventures in America and gaining attention on social media. One particular adventure has now thrown it back to a classic Alan Jackson tune.

Freddy, the German soccer fan who has created a massive following over the past several days, posted a series of photos on X that showed people cruising down a river on float tubes. He revealed that they were floating down the Chattahoochee River.

This, of course, references the Jackson song, Chattahoochee, that he released back in May 1993. This song has since gone triple platinum.

This tune about young love starts off with the lyrics, "Well, way down yonder on the Chattahoochee, it gets hotter than a hoochie coochie. We laid rubber on the Georgia asphalt. We got a little crazy but we never got caught."

The float down the famous river is far from the only adventure on which Freddy has gone in recent days, nor is it the first time that he made a post that referenced country music.

Although many people on social media appreciated the reference to Jackson, regardless of whether he did so intentionally.

The soccer fan has highlighted numerous aspects of his trip across America, including a newfound fascination with singer Ella Langley. He has also spent time in Houston, courtesy of future Hall of Famer JJ Watt, and he visited multiple facilities for New Orleans-based sports franchises.

One more recent adventure took Freddy and his companions to a new experience. They watched the Houston Astros and the Detroit Tigers play, marking the first time that they had attended a baseball game.

The adventures will only continue along with the World Cup. Freddy — and dozens of other European fans — will take in new experiences as they explore parts of America away from major hubs such as New York City.
