Argentina Soccer Team Trolls Drake, After He Bet $300,000 On Canada To Win

Toronto-based artist Drake is known for his high stakes sports bets, that is to say, with the home country Canada facing off with Argentina in the semi-final round of the Copa America tournament, he decided to put $300,000 on his fellow countrymen.

With that being said, maybe his financial advisor or someone in Drake's posse should have let him know that Argentina is one of the best soccer teams in the world, and they have a pretty good player by the name of Lionel Messi on their squad.

The game went pretty much as expected, as Messi scored in the 51st minute of the match, to give Argentina the 2-0 victory over the North Americans.

With this in mind, Drake might have took another loss, because after winning the match, the official Argentina social media account trolled the singer/songwriter by referencing his rival Kendrick Lamar's diss track on him, 'Not Like Us.'

Drake wagered $300,000, which would have paid out almost $3 million, as the underdog team Canada had around 10 to 1 odds to win.

To note, coming into the game, Argentina was the favorite to win the tournament (-165 odds), and after advancing to the championship, they captioned the celebratory post, "Not like us, not with us."

Then on Instagram the team's account put a picture of the squad celebrating the win, with Kendrick's diss song playing in the background, as the caption read (when translated), "A team that breaks any bet."

Some fans noted that Drake walked right into this one. To point out, the 37-year-old is probably trying to forget the last couple months of people parading around singing a diss song about him, but it all keeps coming back to that.

The winner of the Uruguay vs. Columbia semi-final game will face off with Argentina in the Copa America Finals, that is going to take place on July 14 (8:00 pm ET) at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
