According to Al Nassr (23-3-1) coach Jorge Jesus, Ronaldo's hamstring injury is more serious than originally anticipated. The veteran player will have to go to Madrid for further treatment.
"In the last game, Cristiano left with a muscle injury," Jesus said. "After the tests he underwent, it became clear that it is a more serious injury than we were expecting.
"He will need rest and recovery. Cristiano will travel to Spain for treatment, as will other players who were injured. He will need treatment from his personal physiotherapist. We hope he will return soon to help the team."

According to ESPN, Ronaldo will hope to return later this month in time for Portugal's international friendlies. The games in late month will take place against Mexico (March 28) and the United States (March 31).
The injury initially occurred during a game between Al Nassr and Al Fayha. The veteran forward limped off the pitch in the 81st minute of the match, which Al Nassr won 3-1. He then sat on the bench with an ice pack on his hamstring.
Speaking after the game, Coach Jesus initially downplayed the injury. He said that Ronaldo had experienced "muscular fatigue" and that the player had started a rehabilitation program.
"After we made it 2-1, I didn't want to risk it and I replaced him," Coach Jesus said. "The medical department will assess his condition, but what he felt was just muscle fatigue."
Al Nassr continued the schedule after Ronaldo's departure. The team defeated Neom SC 1-0 on March 7. The quarterfinal match against Al Wasl has been postponed multiple times.
Al Nassr currently lead the Saudi Pro League. The team is two points clear of Al Ahli. Ronaldo has scored 21 times this season. Al Ahli's Ivan Toney has scored 23 goals, which leads the Saudi Pro League.
