Upon receiving the autographed jersey, Trump noticed there was a personalized note written.

With all the growing global conflict going on around the world, Ronaldo had a message for Trump:

"To President Donald J. Trump, Playing For Peace."

In his last meeting with Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Trump highlighted Ronaldo's popularity by pointing out that the 5x Ballon d'Or winner could be President of Portugal if he wanted.

And with the 2026 World Cup set to take place in the United States of America, many fans have joked that Ronaldo is maybe attempting to bribe the host country's leader.

Ronaldo will be 41 years old ahead of next year's tournament, in what will likely be his chance at a World Cup title. That is to say, the current Al Nassr (Saudi League) striker does not have anything left to prove as he is currently the all-time men's leading scorer in international football with 138 goals.
