U.S. Women's National Team midfielder Lindsey Horan is making a name for herself at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Horan's name has been plastered all over the news lately after she got big mad against the Netherlands and her club teammate Danielle van de Donk, becoming the scorer of a crucial goal for the USWNT.
But is Horan's last name about to change? Here's what you need to know about her new fiance?, Tyler Heaps, former U.S. Soccer Federation director of sporting analytics.
Who is Lindsey Horan's Fiance?, Tyler Heaps?
According to Heaps' LinkedIn account, he is now the head of sporting technology and insights for the legendary European club AS Monaco.
But before the American took the job in Monaco, Heaps worked for the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) in various positions for over five years. Details are difficult to confirm, but it seems likely that Horan and Heaps met because of their shared love for the sport.
Heaps has a history of coaching soccer and has built an impressive career as a football analyst.
Heaps, alongside Horan and other stars such as Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, was with the USSF when the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team defeated the Netherlands in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Now, Heaps presumably lives in the sovereign microstate full time, though details are difficult to confirm because Heaps keeps a low profile. The Augsburg University graduate left the USSF to take the AS Monaco job in January 2021. In March of the same year, the couple began sharing social media photos together.
In January 2022, Horan changed clubs, departing the National Women's Soccer League's Portland Thorns FC and joining French side Olympique Lyonnais. While the transfer was a great career move for Horan, it may have served dual a purpose — Lyon's stadium is only a one-hour flight from Monaco.
Two and a half years later, in June, the couple announced their engagement with one simple word — "forever."

Lindsey 'The Great' Horan: The Fire Inside the USWNT's Belly
While Heaps keeps a low profile, Horan shines in the spotlight. The professional soccer player has been a winner in every league she's ever played in, from her high school days with the Colorado Rush to the NWSL to France with her French club, Olympique Lyonnais.
As many U.S. fans witnessed last week, she can do it all on the pitch. Evidence of that includes she's the former National Women's Soccer League champion, NWSL MVP, FIFA World Cup champion, CONCACAF U-17 Women's Championships winner, and the UEFA Women's Champions League champion.
But off the pitch, the lights shine less brightly, and we think that's the way Horan wants to keep it.
We may never know how exactly Lindsey Michelle Horan and Tyler Heaps met, and we likely won't know if Horan will keep her name, until she chooses to make the announcement. And that's fine — athletes deserve their privacy, too.
But we do know one thing for certain: If Horan does decide to change her name, opponents are in for Heaps of trouble.
