The 2026 FIFA World Cup has brought millions of international visitors to the United States, but few have been documenting their adventures quite like Elsa Thora.

The 24-year-old Swedish Kick streamer has been sharing her first trip to America with followers on social media, and it turns out she's becoming just as fascinated with American culture as Americans are with her journey.
From diners and school buses to small-town hospitality, Thora has spent the past week experiencing things she previously knew only from movies and television.
But one discovery stands above all the rest: Ranch dressing.

According to multiple interviews and social media posts, the Stockholm native has become completely hooked on the popular American condiment after arriving in Indiana earlier this month.
"It was amazing," Thora said. "I've said to lots of people that I won't be able to live without it now."
She even joked that she'll need to either order ranch online or learn how to make it herself once she returns home.
Apparently, ranch isn't nearly as common in Sweden as it is throughout the United States, leaving Thora stunned by both its popularity and versatility. She's already tried it on French fries, burgers and bacon-wrapped tater tots.

The dressing has become such an obsession that she jokingly referred to it as "crack."
Of course, the food is only part of the story.
Thora has also been surprised by how friendly Americans have been throughout her travels.
"People just talk to you," she said. "Random people say hi on the street."
For many Americans, that's just everyday life. For someone visiting from Sweden, it has been one of the biggest culture shocks of the trip.
She has also marveled at classic American sights, including diners, fire trucks, yellow school buses and even Amish communities.
At one point, she admitted she was shocked to discover Amish people actually exist.
Indiana is exactly how I dreamed America would be
Small towns, wide open spaces, cornfields, barns, cute houses, diners, water towers, friendly people, great food, American flags everywhere, and so much more!
Time for the next part of this adventure

"I saw some Amish people and a horse and carriage," she said. "That was kind of crazy."
After beginning her trip in Indiana, Thora headed west to San Francisco and plans to continue following World Cup action around the country. She also hopes to be in the New York area for America's 250th birthday celebrations on July 4.
And if her recent comments are any indication, she may not want to leave.
"I'd love to move to the USA," she said.
