The 2010 buddy-cop hit is now streaming on Netflix, giving viewers another chance to revisit the Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg comedy that earned more than $170 million at the worldwide box office (per The Numbers).

Jeter appears early in the film as himself in one of its running jokes. Wahlberg's hot-headed NYPD detective Terry Hoitz is mocked by fellow officers after accidentally shooting the New York Yankees legend during a World Series game, a mistake that haunts him throughout the movie.

The cameo is brief, but it's one of several memorable celebrity appearances packed into the film.

Ferrell stars as mild-mannered detective Allen Gamble, who is paired with Wahlberg's frustrated Terry Hoitz after the city's superstar cops, played by Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson, are suddenly out of the picture.

What follows is a wildly over-the-top investigation that mixes action, absurd comedy and plenty of unforgettable one-liners.

The film also features Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan and Ray Stevenson in supporting roles.

Directed by Adam McKay, The Other Guys received strong reviews from critics and became a commercial success, grossing roughly $170 million worldwide.

More than 15 years later, it's still considered one of Ferrell's funniest movies and one of the best buddy-cop comedies of its era.

And for Yankees fans, it's also worth watching just to see Jeter involved in one of the movie's most ridiculous running gags.
